Feeling Cocky

It seems that whenever I start to feel COCKY, I get slammed somehow. it's very strange, but it's happened a lot of times.

- - - Personally proud, and responsible and powerful - - those are all fine.

but if I get to feeling actually Cocky -- where I think I'm really special in one area, apart or above the rest -- I often get slammed in some unexpected way.

Cocky = Losing touch with our Higher Power.

Cocky means you think YOU did it.
YOU made it happen.
You baaad.

without God, it doesn't work.

There are 3 ingredients for a happy life: 1. God 2. Self-Awareness 3. Personal Responsibility Power you will be more attractive than you ever thought possible!

Criminals and Feelings

I'd suggest that most Crimes in the USA are DIRECTLY RELATED to people NOT being able to manage their Feelings & Emotions!?!

I have no evidence to support that (yet), but I'd bet it's true.

• drugs
• theft
• fights
• murder
• rape
  
  they're ALL feelings-based crimes!

I used to say "You can't Heal, what you can't Feel" but someone mentioned last night at a class Reunion (thanks, Lori), that's it's really "won't"... not "can't".  What's the difference?  Personal Power.  Intention.  Powerful vs. Powerless.  Control.  BIG dif!

Here we go...

Well, I have class again this weekend.

I'm leaving at 5am to drive to Berkeley for a meeting at 8, then to Sacramento for a meeting at 11:30, then I'm throwing a reunion party at 6.  On Friday, play racquetball at 5am, to see a customer, then to Fresno by 5 to setup the room and do the class.  (another 1600-mile weekend)

There will be about 30 people there this weekend, between new students, reviewers and assistants.   Ranging from 13 - 70ish.

After this weekend, these people will be forever changed.

They will smile more.
They will love more.
They will hug more.
and they will feel more.

but you know what's the best thing about their learning?
You know what brings a BIG Grin to my face just thinking about it?!?

I am teaching all these people to TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for Themselves!

Totally.  completely.  thoroughly.  voluntarily.
no blaming.
no whining.
no poor me.
no more scared and weak.

You have to have your Personal Power to do that.
You gotta have a direct link to, but also complete control over, your Anger.
You'd better know your Fears inside out.
You'd better know your Weaknesses and how to compensate for them.
You'd better know yourself, and how to take care of yourself, and others.

You'd better come to class and learn.

Do you realize what God just did?  He created a global-sized catastrophe to get our Attention!

He saw that us humans STILL haven't figured out how to get along, so he decided to help.  He created such a huge problem - - more bodies litter the earth today than any other single day in history - - in an effort to get us to GET ALONG.

The World now has a problem.
The World is coming together to help the shattered survivors.
We will have a huge outpouring of Love (imho, the new Love movement started on 9-11, by the way). 

Speaking of 9-11, I believe that event, tho horrible in it's destruction, was the BEST thing that happened to the USA in many years... spiritually speaking.  And of those who perished... I feel for them, but I also think:  How many people died in Vietnam?  Did it shift the world to be a safer, freer, more loving place?  No, I think it hurt us, made people mad and divided people.  Now, compare that to how many people died during 9-11.  I don't mean to be flippent, but there were only a few thousand - and this single event has done more, spiritually and psychologically to bring Americans together than any other single event in recent history.

If I could choose a way to go, it would certainly been on 9-11... impact us, and the world, so successfully.

When people have a common enemy, or a common problem, they feel closer and more attached to one another.  comaradarie.  team.  we.

Thanks, dear God, for all you've done for us, and all you do. 
You have spoken and we hear you.  And we will strive to improve.
We WILL figure out how to carry out your will, I promise.
Until we do, please continue to guide us and remind us (as gently as possible)
